A career Senior Foreign Service officer, Lenderking served as the first U.S. Special Envoy for Yemen from 2021–2025 and previously as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Iran, Iraq, and regional multilateral affairs. Drawing on decades of diplomatic experience in the Middle East and beyond, Lenderking will examine how American diplomacy is adapting to a rapidly changing international landscape marked by shifting alliances, regional conflicts, strategic competition, and emerging centers of global influence.
