BOOK CLUB | COLORADO SPRINGS WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL
The Colorado Springs World Affairs Council Book Club addresses important issues facing our country and the world with timely books, articles, and films on current events. CSWAC Book Club has been able to attract authors and subject matter experts for many of our books and presentations, ranging from the role of biogenetics in responding to COVID-19 and worldwide public health, Artificial Intelligence, and the role of the Internet in domestic and international politics, addressing the Afghan and other refugee challenges, political and constitutional issues affecting America and other democracies, and narratives from in-person experiences with history-making world leaders.
Must be a current member of CSWAC.
(Membership is currently capped, but a new book club can be started with interested members.)
- Current Book Club: 15 (optimal size)
- Additional book club(s), appealing to additional members or specific communities of interest, may be formed.
Due to colder temperatures and COVID-19, Book Club meetings have been held via Zoom in the winter months. However, in-person gatherings will resume in safe, outdoor spaces, including food and drink, when warmer weather returns.
One Book Club member volunteers to moderate the discussion for each book.
